How the lights are set

Written and checked by Margot ThériaultChecked October 7, 2026

Hours and dates in this guide come from venues' own pages, official sources and named news reports, checked on October 7, 2026. Distances are straight lines between map points. Where official pages give different figures, the guide leaves them out rather than pick one.

Where the facts come from

Venue facts come from the venues' own pages and from their operator. Provincial facts are drawn from the NBLGC, its 2023-24 annual report and the province's gaming pages. For history, the guide relies on CBC, CTV, the River Valley Sun and Wikipedia.

Some provincial and Atlantic Lottery pages blocked automated reading on October 7, 2026. For those, facts were taken from Internet Archive copies of the same pages, dated between November 2025 and September 2026. Each fact keeps its capture date. The Gaming Control Act itself could not be read online that day. The age of 19 therefore comes from Atlantic Lottery and the venues' own rules.

Distances are straight lines between OpenStreetMap coordinates. They are not road distances or drive times.

What the guide leaves out

Where official pages give different figures, the guide leaves them out. That covers the slot machine counts of all three casinos and Wolastoq Casino's postal code. Grey Rock Casino's town is handled differently. Its own pages give the town both as Saint-Basile and as Edmundston, so both names appear here.

How Wolastoq Casino's games are authorised is not published by the venue or the province. For that reason the guide does not call it licensed or regulated.

Open and closed states are worked out from published hours in Atlantic Time, ADT in summer. Holiday hours are not given anywhere on the site, so check them on each venue's own site. No venue receives a score, a star or a rank.
